Social Apostolate:
Social Apostolate remains the soul of all other apostolates of our congregation. We follow Jesus who associated with the poor, outcast and marginalized of His time. Our social apostolate gives prime importance to rural development and thus we reach out to the rural poor and work for their physical, psychological, spiritual and cultural growth through various programmes like formal and informal education centers, Mahila Mandals, Self Help Groups, youth associations etc. We spent time in listening to their anxieties, worries and problems and in helping them to come out of their sub-human conditions of ignorance, illiteracy, and ill-health by showing them the way of a better life.
We realize that our call is to promote the Kingdom Values. Hence working for human dignity, human rights and social justice is the main aim of our social apostolate. In order to alleviate the miseries of the poor, we organize various socio- economic developmental works, liberative and awareness programmes among different sections of the people especially women and girl children. Our prophetic task is not only to solve the immediate problems of the people but also to animate and transform our society according to the Gospel values.
Education :
Our educational institutes have a particular obligation to create an atmosphere animated by the gospel sprit of freedom and love in the scholastic community, to assist adolescents in the development of their own personality. The aim of our education is to from a human person in order that he/she may attain perfection as an individual and as a member of the society. We impart to children and the youth, training that would prompt them to weigh moral values with and upright conscience and to accept these moral values by free choice. Our schools and educational institutions must be formed as communities with the purpose of transmitting the values of life. Adopting the modern methods of education the members of the congregation who work in the field of education should take care of the study, character formation, holiness of life, discipline, health etc of the children. Sisters who are involved in the field of education should love each child as her own, especially the weak and poor children.
Woman Empowerment :
A upliftment of women is one of the important charism of our congregation. We organize and educate poor woman about their right, feminine dignity, their place and role in the society in order to conscientise them. We help to animate and empower them to stand on their feet, to their emancipation.
Healing Ministry :
The mission of Jesus consisted mainly two things, proclaiming the good news to the poor and healing the sick, which meant restoring the person to wholeness liberating them from all bondages. Following the example of Jesus we serve the mankind to free them from the bondage of physical, mental and spiritual sickness. Healing ministry has an important role in our work of evangelization. This apostolate is most needed service of the health care of the people. Sisters are witness to the love, compassion and kindness of Christ who while on earth healed the sick comforted and afflicted. Our Lord himself distinguished himself in his sympathy for the sick and suffering. No earthly money can compensate for service promoted by the love of God. This is reflected through every dedicated hands of the Sisters who come to nurse the painful and agonizing patient.
Parish Apostolate :
The only goal of our Parish apostolate is to give witness to the kingdom of God. The sisters render all possible support and co-operation to the ecclesiastical authorities in carrying out their pastoral work efficiently. We do real missionary work among the people through catechism, pious association social work and family welfare schemes. We teach catechism and adopt other necessary steps to improve the liturgical life of the parish by participating in Sunday liturgy. As St. Therese wanted to strew flowers of sufferings in order to co – operate with Jesus in the work of salvation of people each Little Sister embrace the hardships of our missionary activities with the same spirit of St. Therese.
